Group of Naval Civil War Documents, 1862-1866. Comprising final returning of provisions 1864-1866, a pass from New Orleans to New York, and including numerous United States Navy Department orders for servicemen to be paid, such as a ledger entry for payment in June 1862 to Duncan MacLochlin for seven days work on the engine of the steamer "Lockwood," at $3.00 per day, earning $21.00;" and another for Charles Baker Pilot," dated "Aug. 1 to Sept. 3" (1862). For service as Pilot on board different vessels in the Sound of N. Carolina @ 60 per month, earning $120.00."
