Set of Six American Fiddle Handle Teaspoons, Barzillia Benjamin (1774-1844), Milford/ Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1800-1819; and Six George III Sterling Silver 'Hanoverian' Forks, London, 1739-1879. Each spoon stamped with a shell on the front and engraved with the initials "SR," each marked "BB" into a rectangle, "BRIDGEPORT" and with pseudo English town and assay marks; the six forks comprising one fork, 1739, maker's initials "SS" in Gothic letters; one crested fork, George Smith III and William Fearn, 1792, with motto "LUCEO NON URO" (I shine, not burn); a pair of crested forks, George Smith IV, 1798; a pair of crested forks, 1800, possibly Richard Crossley, (maker's marks worn), all marked.
