Large Group of Parker Family Children's Clothing, Late 19th and Early 20th Century. Comprising a cotton christening dress that had belonged to Cortlandt Parker's father when he was a baby; a hand-sewn cotton christening dress with machine eyelet lace, the note indicating it had belonged to Grandmother Gray, and Jim (James) was christened in it in 1924; a cotton dress that had belonged to Cortlandt and Jim, early 1900's; a dress belonging to Cortlandt; a bonnet belonging to Jim; a bonnet belonging to Cortlandt; Jim's sweater stitched with a "MADE IN ENGLAND" label; Jim's blue linen suit with shell buttons; Jim's pale blue suit with shell buttons; "Cort's best Rompers," cotton with embroidery smocking, shearing done by hand and elastic legs; two blue and yellow shirts and a pair of black cotton velvet shorts, the shirts size 3, labels for "JUVNILE TAILORING DEPT./ Harrods Ltd., LONDON. S.W.," and the shorts "Harrods LTD., LONDON," housed in a Harrod's box inscribed in pencil "Mstr. (?) C. Parker/ 50, Chester Square/ S.W.1." and Dept. "136," Asst. "Y2Y," and date "15-12-32;" and a pair of Cortlandt's wool bedroom slippers.

Provenance: The index cards with family notes written on them and still pinned to some of the clothing were never removed.
